Starbucks, other coffee companies must have cancer warning label, California judge rules : A judge sided with the nonprofit that brought the case against coffee companies because of a carcinogen, acrylamide, that is produced when coffee beans are roasted.

Acrylamide is a toxic carcinogen created when mostly starch type foods
are fried or roasted. Coffee beans are roasted and tests show a level of
Acrylamide in it not good in the long term for human health. Now a
judge has ruled warning cancer labels must be put on coffee serving
outlets. My rule of thumb is I have Organic Tea everyday and coffee once
in awhile.
